About Me
People have good reasons for being who they are. Often, what appears to be a symptom of mental discord is in fact a logical response to the stories the dominant culture has told us about ourselves. Together, my clients and I work to place their difficulties in cultural context, while still keeping in mind that we are not helpless. Starting with the assumption that everyone is capable of functioning well, I work from an existential, multicultural, and narrative standpoint to support clients in developing a deep understanding of maladaptive patterns.
